RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

1.	Answering the telephone and assisting customers with filling their ticket order request for events at The Palace, DTE Energy Music Theatre and Meadow Brook Music Festival, and selling individual tickets to events.

2.	Responsible for retrieving voice messages, filling web orders and confirming ticket orders.

3.	Occasionally helping train other new employees on ticketing systems.

4.	Answering customer questions and solving customer problems regarding the MyCompanyOffer service.

5.	Miscellaneous data entry.

QUALIFICATIONS

1.  This is a part time position and candidates need to be available 20-35 hours per week, and some occasional weekends.

2.  Must be professional in verbal and written communication.

3.  Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs.</description>

1.	Monitor section entrances and exits.  This involves standing in an assigned area checking guest tickets upon entry during entire event, directing or escorting guests to their seats, and helping to enforce PSE regulations.  

2.	Be prepared to answer a variety of questions regarding the venue, such as locations for restrooms, first aid, and exits in a polite and respectful manner.

3.	Prevent guest entry until appropriate door time arrives.

4.	Check guest tickets for proper events, venues, dates, and times.  Scan tickets and direct guests through turnstiles.  

5.	Work together with other departments when they are in need of assistance.  

6.	Distribute flyers, prizes, or promotional items to guests upon entry to the venue.

CORPORATE MARKETING 

This internship will provide the opportunity to be involved in the entire sponsorship sales process, including development and fulfillment of contractual elements for corporate partners within most of the Palace Sports and Entertainment properties?Detroit Pistons (NBA), Detroit Shock (WNBA), DTE Energy Music Theatre, Meadow Brook Music Festival, and the Palace of Auburn Hills. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

1. Research prospective sponsors 

2. Provide support with proposal writing and design, including sponsorship recaps 

3. Execute weekly mailings 

4. Aid with sponsor parties, suites, and/or outings 

5. General administrative work and errands 

6. Assist with promotions, event execution, and sponsorship fulfillment 

7. Track and catalog event advertising 

Qualifications: 

1. A background in communications, journalism, marketing, advertising, and/or other sports management-related majors is preferred 

2. Must be available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week, often including nights and weekends 

3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the Internet is critical

5. Document all safety and medical incidents. 

6. Assist police and medical personnel by notifying them immediately when an incident is reported and follow through by providing further investigation information. 

QUALIFICATIONS 

1. Must be at least 18 yrs of age. 

2. Be available to work scheduled events as needed including nights, weekends and holidays. 

3. Must be able to communicate clearly, in English, with guests in a professional manner.
